What descaling does
Limescale builds up. This removes it.
Every time the nuviebaby Clean™ heats water, minerals settle on the heating element and inside the spray jets. Left alone, that buildup slows wash performance and shortens the life of internal parts. Descaling tablets dissolve the buildup before it becomes a problem.
One tablet per descaling cycle. Run it monthly as standard. If you have hard water in your area, switch to every two weeks. One box of 30 tablets covers well over a year of regular maintenance.
Formulated for the materials inside the nuviebaby Clean™. Generic descalers and vinegar can corrode internal seals or leave residue that carries into the next wash. These tablets dissolve cleanly and rinse completely.

How often should I descale?
Monthly as standard. If you have hard water, switch to every two weeks. One box of 30 tablets lasts most homes well over a year at monthly descaling.
How do I descale the machine?
Remove all bottles and racks. Drop one descaling tablet into the empty machine. Run a descaling cycle. The tablet dissolves and cleans the internal water system, heating element, and spray jets. No scrubbing, no rinsing afterward.
What happens if I skip descaling?
Limescale gradually builds up on the heating element and inside the spray jets. Wash performance drops, cycles take longer, and internal components wear faster. Regular descaling keeps the machine running the way it should.
Can I use generic descaling tablets or vinegar?
We recommend using nuviebaby descaling tablets. They're formulated for the specific materials and components inside the machine. Generic descalers or vinegar can corrode internal seals, leave residue, or damage components not designed for acidic solutions.
